143/Lava/Atlantic Companion Album to Be Released March 12th Featuring Special Guest Stars NEW YORK, NY - March 1, 2002 - VH1 captures a live homecoming performance of pop siblings The Corrs when they return to Ireland in "VH1 Presents The Corrs Live In Dublin," premiering Thursday, March 14th at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT. This special concert will air again on St. Patrick's Day, Sunday, March 17th at 1:00 P.M (ET/PT). Taped January 25th, 2002 at Ardmore Studios outside of Dublin, the special features the family quartet - Andrea Corr, Sharon Corr, Caroline Corr, and Jim Corr - performing some of their most popular hits, such as "Breathless" and "So Young," accompanied by a full orchestra. Guests include U2's Bono who duets with Andrea Corr on Ryan Adams's "When the Stars Go Blue" and on "Summer Wine," made famous by Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra. The Rolling Stones' Ron Wood contributes his trademark guitar stylings to The Corr's cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" as well as an encore rendition of the Stones' "Ruby Tuesday." The special is preceded by the release of the 143/Lava/Atlantic companion album "VH1 PRESENTS THE CORRS LIVE IN DUBLIN" on March 12th. The recording was produced by frequent Corrs collaborator Mitchell Froom, who has also worked with Sheryl Crow and Paul McCartney, and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. Fans of The Corrs can go to VH1.com to find a full interview with the group, performance video clips and all of the information about the upcoming album as well as a flip book of pictures from the concert. "VH1 PRESENTS THE CORRS LIVE IN DUBLIN" is the group's first release since 2000's RIAA platinum-certified "IN BLUE." The album - which includes the hit single "Breathless" - marked The Corrs' first U.S. million-seller. Both 1995's "FORGIVEN, NOT FORGOTTEN" and 1998's "TALK ON CORNERS" have been certified RIAA gold. With over 23 million albums sold around the world - from Europe to Australia to Asia - The Corrs are truly international superstars. |
