The Corrs’ new single, the double A side ‘Old Town/Heart Like A Wheel’ will be released by Atlantic Records on October 24th 2005 in the UK and October 21st 2005 in Ireland.
Both tracks are the first singles to be taken from the band's newly released studio album Home, an album that harks back to fond beginnings.
‘Old Town’ is an utterly infectious and up-tempo single, a truly melodic introduction to a treasured collection of songs and a cover version of the Phil Lynott penned Thin Lizzy classic song.
In stark contrast, ‘Heart Like A Wheel’ is a brooding ballad that tells of heartbreak and past love. Written by Kate and Anna McGarrigle, it was a song that Jim Corr had played with Dolores Keane in his days as a session musician.
