The band have been long time supporters of the Nelson Mandela Foundation and we are delighted to confirm that on June 11th Sharon will be appearing at the ‘46664 Arctic’ concert in Tromsø, Norway, where she will be performing on stage with Italy’s Zucchero.

Mandela will travel from South Africa to Tromsø, Norway, in June to host the 46664 ARCTIC concert to convey his HIV/AIDS message to the northern hemisphere countries, and at the same time deliver a strong caution to leaders of the G8 summit that more needs to be done in the global fight.

Also appearing will be Queen’s Brian May, who will perform with Armenian musician Jivan Gasparyan, Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, UK cult rock band Razorlight, Benin’s Angelique Kidjo and South African artists including Bongo Maffin, Johnny Clegg and Ladysmith Black Mambazo and many of Scandanavia’s top artists including Ane Brun, Anneli Drecker, Kaizers Orchestra and Madrugada from Norway, and Saybia from Denmark.

The concert will also see messages sent from 46664 ambassadors including Bill Clinton, Bob Geldof, Bono, Brad Pitt, Chris Martin, Robert de Niro and Will Smith calling on the world to do more to address infant mortality and the impact of HIV/AIDS on children.
